Fringes

Fringes are the warp ends of the rug, finished by hand at one end, both ends, or left off.

Woven to order in about 3–4 weeks for rugs up to 4 × 6 ft, around 5 weeks up to 7 × 10 ft, and 6–8 weeks for larger sizes. Then shipped free by DHL Express or FedEx Express, insured, reaching the US in 3–5 business days.

Description

Kinsel is a black and blue Moroccan wool rug with fine horizontal stripes broken by solid black blocks.

It is woven to order by the women weavers in our own workshop in Morocco, from wool we dye by hand. Choose your size and your fringes: on one side, on both sides, or none.

Each rug is handmade, so the finished dimensions may vary by a few centimetres from the size ordered. Need a size that isn't listed? Order a custom size in 0.5 ft steps, or write to us for more photos.

Free worldwide shipping. US orders ship duties paid, so there is nothing more to pay on delivery.

Shipping policy

Care

Vacuum regularly, and air the rug outside in the sun every month or two. Spot-clean spills as soon as they happen, and have it professionally cleaned once a year.

Returns

You can cancel any time before your rug ships, and return it within 14 days of delivery. If you change your mind, the return shipping is yours; if the rug is different from what you ordered, it’s on us.

Materials & craftsmanship

Your rug is not taken from a stockroom. It is made for your order in our own workshop in Morocco, from wool to finished fringe.

01 Dyeing
The wool for your rug is dyed by hand in our workshop.
02 Weaving
Pile rugs are knotted by hand, and flatweaves woven by hand, on an upright loom by the women weavers we work with.
03 Washing & drying
Finished, it is washed and dried in the sun before it is packed for you.
